This pickup is EMG's 5 string version of our JV Pickup. The 40JV5 is packaged in the EMG Extended Series 40 Housing. The JV uses a mixture of old, new, and late model design ideas and was developed to deliver the classic tone and look of the traditional Jazz Bass. It maintains the "faded" attack of the offset pole pieces in combination with our lowest noise preamp. The EMG-40JV5 will appeal to the "retro" in you, while the coil and electronic design convinces you this is a pickup to be seriously considered.
The EMG-MJ Set is for the Fender Mexican Jazz Bass which uses two of the same pickup sizes, rather than the short/long used on the standard Jazz Bass. The MJ is the same as the EMG-J Set but both pickups are the same dimensions.
Package Includes: EMG's exclusive Quik-Connect cables (2), prewired control set including 2 volume controls, master tone control, output jack, battery clip, and adjustment screws.
