La Bella Original 1954 Stainless Steel Flat Wound Bass Guitar Strings Also known as "Jamersons", are the "Original Oldies" Donald "Duck" Dunn used on countless recordings with Otis Redding and Booker T. and the MG's. They are one of the deepest sounding flat wound bass strings ever made and offer the long life and corrosion resistance of stainless steel. They seem to last forever, a fact well known to the legendary MoTown bassist, James Lee Jamerson. He also got the most out of his strings; never changing them until he wore them out or they broke. He loved them so much that people began referring to La Bella 760M's as "Jamersons". He used these strings on his Fender Precision bass.
