Free Setup with Upgrades
Pete has taken advantage of the low price of the SX SJB-62 being sold right now for $89.95 at Rondo Music, and the free setup offer I am providing this week.

3-12-09: Working on fret ends and nut . . .
3-14-09: Continuing with nut work . . . and then setup
Partial Fretjob & Setup: Normally the Fretwork is an added $100 by itself and a Setup is also $100 by itself, and the both are $150. I'm making a sweeter deal on the partial fretjob too so I'm knocking $20 off the cost for this week only.
Partial Fretjob & Setup: $80.00 PAID
Headstock: SX logo . . . black face paint~? $50.00 labor.
Pete didn't opt for the black face.

Special on Nutjob for SX SJB-62: $20.00 PAID
Bone Nut: Press Fit & Height Marked -|- String Layout -|- Done -|- Strung
Deglossing: To reduce hand drag on neck. . . Do you want this Pete????
There's no charge for this option. Too late . . . boxed her up for shipping.
Tuners: SX Chrome - These get adjusted if necessary and lubed. No charge.
Setup: Free with this order but I have to make a better deal on the Fretwork as well so see note above.
3-14-09: Setup with the D'Addario medium-heavy strings is requiring a LOT of back tension. These necks aren't truss-rod adjusted at either China or Rondo. They generally show up with light strings and zero, or neutral, truss setting with no tension. Well, with these strings I have adjusted the truss rod nut one full revolution, and still needs more, and this takes time. She's bull's ass tight right now so it's best to let the neck get used to this setting before attempting to tighten the nut any further.
Electronics
If you want to see a deal on upgrading your electronics you've gotta do the deal below. I've already taken into consideration what you need for the electronics and made my best deal along with the total project.
Pickups: SX Jazz - suggest hearing and not swapping as these are made to early Fender specifications. I personally like them better than what Fender offers now. With a low control setting these are mellow, but crank these puppies and they can become very aggressive. Nice tones all around.
3-10-09: Padded each pickup with high density foam rubber and installed.
3-10-09: Attached wire extensions and connected pickups and ground wire.
Cavities: Shielding with copper foil is normally $50
3-10-09: Completed shielding cavities.
Controls: V-V-T. Upgrade to American made harness: $50
3-10-09: Completed soldering the CTS harness, and includes Orange Drop .047΅F 100v capacitor, Switchcraft output jack, and high temp tephlon jacketed wire.
3-10-09: Control Assembly completed and installed.
Control Plate: Reamed to accept American pots: No Charge if upgrading
Control Knobs: This is a must for upgraded pots but will toss these in . . .
Wiring: highest quality known to man . . . as part of the upgrades above.
Special on Electronics Parts & Labor: $80.00 PAID
